I guess ill be the first to start.
I appologize for the length.

A girl (lets call her L) and i have been pretty tight friends for a few months. We did everything together, were together pretty much every day, always having a blast.
She has been wanting to move to British Columbia for some time now and finally did so about three weeks ago. Before she left I asked if it was cool to come visit her during reading week which was last week. She says "we'll have to see, the place im staying at has very little room" I said thats ok, ill find a hostel. I fly out to BC met with her in Whistler Village on Saturday. She asked for the number to where i was staying and said that she'd call me a little later that day as she had some things to do. Cool.
I didnt hear from her all night, nor did i hear from her for the rest of the week while staying there. At first i thought maybe something happend, but then as i went to an internet cafe to check my email to see if she had emailed me there was a user still logged on to MSN, I close the accout and up pops her name, first and last. What would the odds be of another L.D. in Whistler BC??? slim to none. So basically my so called 'good friend' likes to ditch her friends that fly thousands of miles and spends quite a bit of money to visit their friend.

Im not so much ticked off but hurt, I've never been so disrespected before; Especially by a close friend.

Besides that Whistler BC is a kickass place to go. The people there are absolutely amazing. Super nice, super cool. Nobody stepping on each others toes to get somewhere. Everyone helps out everyone else. The mountains are absolutely gorgeous. Riding (snowboarding, and skiing) Blackcomb was breathtaking. I'd say better than Lake Louise, Alberta. I didnt get a chance to ride Whistler tho. Tickets are somewhat pricey. $71 a day. But there's ways around that. An excellent place to stay is the Fireside Lodge in Nordic Estates. The dorms only cost roughly $32 a night. cheap but high quality place.
